Aggregate Lab Technician

You will verify and record incoming material samples and conduct all aspects of standardized and specific materials lab testing! Other duties include but are not limited to:
Perform difficult, non-routine materials test for special studies, circumstances and investigations.
Calculate test results and input data to generate standardized reports.
Performs preliminary analysis of test results.
Reports known deficiencies to Chief Inspector and verifies corrections of known deficiencies to ensure the project complies with project documents.
Maintain and assist in the testing and calibration of materials lab equipment.
Assist in the delivery of technical certification program training.
Perform snow & ice activities.

Must possess or have the ability to obtain a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with no Air Brake restriction within 5 months of initial placement into the position, permit within 3 months.
- Two years of experience performing materials testing
- One year of experience performing materials testing or related activities and one year in construction inspection.
Note: A Two year Civil or Construction Technology Degree or the following four-year degrees: Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering; Land Surveying/Geomatics; or equivalent may substitute for one year of experience. (In order for education coursework to be considered in lieu of work experience you must submit a copy of your transcripts).
Candidates must have at least four of the following certifications: Aggregate Production
Level 1 & 2 Grading & Base
Level 1 & 2 Bituminous Plant
Level 1 Concrete Plant
Level 1 Concrete Field
Bituminous Street 1 & 2
